Success in today’s digital world requires many things. Having the right mission, vision, and ability to deliver on that vision is imperative.
But, that’s not enough.
In the digital space, it takes more than just code. To create a truly high-quality, consistent product, you’ve got to work across an organization, uniting and inspiring teams in the process, to create a product that provides value to end users and to your organization.
That can be a tall order for many organizations. Managing competing goals, objectives, timelines, stakeholders, and more can be overwhelming, and, if not done correctly, can easily impact your clients, employees, product, and bottom line.
“Traditional approaches to developing software have proven to be rigid and inflexible.”
“Traditional approaches to developing software have proven to be rigid and inflexible,” said Shelley Staten, director of agile services at Universal Mind. “Rather than determining requirements and solutions at the outset, a more adaptive approach is required to ensure that solutions evolve in real-time.”
One approach that takes this into account is the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Universal Mind will host a Leading SAFe 4.0 workshop Oct. 19-20 wherein attendees will learn the Lean-Agile principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework and how to maximize value through agile release trains. Participants will also gain a refined understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset and how to:
Build an agile portfolio
Lead a Lean-Agile transformation on an enterprise scale
Apply the principles and practices of SAFe to support agile teams
Coordinate large value streams
Align the organization to a common process model
Configure the framework for your context
Unlock the intrinsic motivation of knowledge workers
Support a Lean-Agile transformation in your enterprise
The Leading SAFe 4.0 workshop will prepare attendees to take the exam to become a certified SAFe Agilist. While all are welcome to attend the workshop, there are some highly recommended prerequisites for those who are interested in taking the SAFe Agilist exam. The certification and prerequisite process requires the following:
- 5 plus years of experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product, or project management
- Experience in Scrum
- Attend the two-day Leading SAFe course and pass the SA exam
Even if you’re not planning on becoming a SA, if you serve in the following roles, the Leading SAFe 4.0 workshop is extremely beneficial for:
- Executives and leaders, managers, directors, CIOs, and VPs
- Development, QA, and infrastructure management
- Program and project managers
- Product and product line management
- Portfolio managers, PMO, and process leads
- Enterprise, system, and solution architects
Additional benefits of attending the workshop include:
A copy of course materials for personal use along with initial certification and exam fee
A one-year membership to Scaled Agile, with access to members-only resources such as webinars, workbooks, guidance presentations, and advance notice of upcoming SAFe products.
