Plano-based Aerospace Automator Buys Boeing Robotics Supplier

Plano-based Advanced Integration Technology has acquired Kuka Systems Aerospace North America, a top Boeing robotics supplier.

Plano-based Advanced Integration Technology is amping up its robotic technologies by acquiring KUKA Systems Aerospace North America for an undisclosed amount. 

AIT and KUKA Aero are leaders in aerospace factory automation and robotics integration as well as suppliers of aircraft manufacturer Boeing, according to the 

The deal satisfies a U.S. regulatory mandate requiring German-based KUKA Systems Group to sell off its U.S. aerospace division before being taken over by Chinese home appliance company Midea. 

AIT Chairman and CEO Ed Chalupa called KUKA’s automation solutions, “pioneering,” in a news release. 

“Their expertise in robotic solutions is second-to-none, and we look forward to working with them to build an even stronger automation platform to serve our customers in the commercial and defense aerospace industries,” Chalupa said.
