NorthPark Microsoft Store Hosts Entrepreneurship Week Events

Microsoft hopes to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs through lessons on innovation and business strategies.

This year, in celebration of National Entrepreneurship Week, Feb. 20-24, every Microsoft Store in North America will host workshops featuring local small business leaders, with the goal of raising awareness about business opportunities and strategies for the next generation of entrepreneurs.

These events will provide current and potential entrepreneurs with opportunities to network and to share lessons from their successes and failures. Seating is limited; advanced registration is encouraged and can be completed by clicking on the event links below.

Locally, the Microsoft Store at NorthPark Center will host the following events next week:

Women in Business
8-9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20
This session will feature female regional entrepreneurs discussing their experiences, advice, and lessons from the startup world. The event is open for both men and women, current entrepreneurs, or those interested in learning about the community. Breakfast will be served.

Innovating for Success
8-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21
Attendees will hear from a mix of entrepreneurs who have used innovative and creative methods in their own business. This session will focus on advancing innovative and novel ideas for entrepreneurs ready to make an impact. Breakfast is included.

Ignite Your Ideas
noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22
This event is geared toward entrepreneurs ready to kick-start their business ideas or in the early stage of their startup. Attendees will hear from Scott Duffy, a nationally recognized speaker, author, and entrepreneur. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions and hear success stories from a panel of entrepreneurs. The session will also cover the fundamentals of how to launch business ideas and offer time for networking with local startups and entrepreneurs. Lunch is included.
