The line between sports bloggers and sports writers continues to blur with the new Fan Media Network app.
The Dallas startup now gives its “correspondents” the ability to crowd-source funding so they can improve their production and even follow the team on the road.
The Fan Media app itself has been around since 2007, allowing anyone to make videos about their favorite professional or college sports team. Popular videos could end up on a team’s channel within the app. The best content producers are named correspondents.
With more than 1 million users, the app continues to democratize the sports media landscape, allowing fans, aspiring broadcasters, and former players to spout knowledge about their team.
