Big Ideas Emerge at Dallas Festival

Festival of Ideas

There was no shortage of big ideas at this year’s Festival of Ideas. The second annual event, held over two days at Dallas’ Fair Park, was buzzing with excitement and creativity.

“Our city is about people,” Brent Brown said.

Thought leaders, city planners, educators, artists, entrepreneurs, musicians, and just plain ‘ole folks (young and old), converged to brainstorm on ways to create change for living better in this fast-growing city.

“Our city is about people,” said Brent Brown, director of Citydesign Studio for the city of Dallas, who was a panel member on the Physical Public Forum.

Even if you weren’t among the more than 1,600 who attended, it’s not too late to take part in the change. “Idea to Action” meetings will be held March 9 and 12.
