Three Dallas-Fort Worth companies have made a prestigious group of 100 companies on the Wealthfront Career Launching Companies List for 2017.

Elevate of Fort Worth, OneSource Virtual from Irving, and Dallas-based Think Finance were included on the list compiled by Wealthfront CEO Andy Rachleff, a former venture capitalist who also teaches technology entrepreneurship at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

According to an article in Inc., Rachleff encourages his students to look for companies that are poised for great success and are on the verge of achieving it.

Going to work for an early-stage startup might be risky, he said, because if the company fails, you’re out of work. If a company is too established, Rachleff maintains, your equity stake won’t be great and it likely will feel too corporate.

Elevate operates in the nonprime financial area, and has generated more then $3 billion in nonprime credit to 1.4 million customers. The company is led by CEO Ken Rees.

OneSource Virtual was founded in 2008 by Brian Williams, Wesley Bryan, and Britt Wirt, and has grown to 800 employees globally.

Think Finance offers software technology, analytics, and marketing services to clients in the consumer lending industry, allowing them to create, develop, launch, and manage a loan portfolio and serve their customers.
