Vinli Announces IFTTT, Amazon Echo Integrations

Dallas-based Vinli's integrations open up new services for users of its platform.

Dallas-based software company Vinli recently announced two new integrations to the Vinli Platform — IFTTT and Amazon Echo.

The new integrations will allow users to create IFTTT Recipes to open the Waze navigation app when you start a trip or contact a friend as you near their home. IFTTT is short for “If This Then That,” a free web-based service that allows users to create “recipes” that actuate changes based on other web services.

Pairing your car with Amazon Echo will enable the user to find out how they are driving, how much fuel is left, and other important data, Vinli said in a release.

Amazon Echo provides the voice-activated assistant called Alexa that can answer many questions, and the Vinli pairing enables the user to keep up better with their car’s whereabouts and health, Vinli said in the release.

The IFTTT pairing allows users to automate tasks between different services, Vinli said. The task is triggered when the action fits IFTTT’s equation, Vinli said.
